Description
The Faro is a 240mm-wide table lamp built from a ribbed white ceramic cone base topped with an opal glass mushroom shade. A single E27 bulb sits inside the shade, casting diffused light through the opal glass in all directions. The vertical ribbing on the cone runs from base to neck, adding texture without colour contrast.
Designed for bedside tables, narrow console units and small desk surfaces where a 240mm footprint fits without encroaching on usable space, the Faro provides ambient rather than task lighting. The 50mm height specification appears to be an error in the data — the image shows the lamp standing approximately 500mm tall including the shade. The opal glass prevents glare and softens the light pool, making it suitable for use near eye level when seated or lying in bed.
The white finish on both base and shade pairs cleanly with white, cream, soft grey and pastel interiors. The ribbed texture catches light during the day, giving the lamp a presence on the surface even when switched off. The ceramic base weighs 3.6kg, providing stability on narrow surfaces. The E27 socket accepts LED, halogen or decorative filament bulbs up to the manufacturer's stated maximum wattage, and the lamp is dimmable when paired with a suitable bulb and dimmer switch.
Mantra manufactures the Faro in Spain. The lamp comes with a 1-year warranty covering manufacturing defects. Bulbs are sold separately.

Frequently Asked
What bulb does the Faro take?
The lamp takes a standard E27 (Edison screw) bulb. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with a warm-white LED bulb between 6-10W and 2700K-3000K for bedside or ambient lighting.
Is the Faro dimmable?
Yes, when paired with a dimmable E27 bulb and a compatible dimmer switch. The lamp itself does not include dimming controls — dimming capability depends on the bulb and dimmer you choose.
What is the actual height of the lamp?
The specification table lists 50mm height, which appears to be a data error. Based on the product image and typical proportions for this lamp style, the total height including the shade is approximately 500mm.
Is the base stable on narrow surfaces?
The ceramic base weighs 3.6kg and has a 240mm diameter footprint, providing good stability on bedside tables and narrow consoles. The weight distribution keeps the lamp upright even when the cable is pulled at an angle during cleaning or repositioning.
