Description

The Faro is a 240mm table lamp from Mantra pairing a ribbed black cone base with a rounded smoked glass shade housing a single E27 bulb (sold separately). The base is formed from vertical ribs running up a truncated cone, creating a fluted column effect, while the smoked glass shade sits on top like a mushroom cap, diffusing light through the tinted glass.

Designed for bedside tables, consoles, side tables and desks, the Faro provides ambient light rather than focused task light. The smoked shade softens the bulb glow and reduces direct glare, making it suitable for evening use in bedrooms, living rooms and hotel guest rooms. The 240mm diameter and 500mm overall height mean it sits comfortably on a standard bedside table without dominating the surface or blocking access to a phone or book.

The ribbed base texture adds visual interest under both daylight and lamp-on conditions, casting vertical shadow lines when lit from above or beside. At 3.6kg the lamp has enough weight to remain stable on carpet or wooden surfaces without needing to be anchored. The black finish pairs with monochrome interiors, dark wood furniture and charcoal-grey soft furnishings, while the smoked glass adds warmth through its amber-brown tint when the bulb is on.
