Description

The Fable is a single-head adjustable spotlight with a brass-finished metal housing and an integrated GX53 LED bulb. The cylindrical head tilts on a ball-and-socket mount fixed to a circular backplate, allowing the beam to be angled up, down or sideways to direct light onto specific surfaces or objects.

Designed for accent and task lighting, the Fable works above kitchen worktops, beside bathroom mirrors, in hallways to highlight artwork, or on gallery walls to pick out framed prints and shelving. The 120mm projection from the wall gives enough clearance to angle the head without shadowing the backplate. The IP20 rating restricts use to dry indoor zones, so the fitting is not suitable for bathrooms within zones 1-2 or outdoor positions.

The brass finish on the metal housing presents as a warm satin gold tone rather than high-polish yellow brass, which softens reflections under daylight and pairs with both warm neutrals and cooler greys. The GX53 bulb sits recessed inside the head with a white internal reflector to prevent glare when viewed at an angle. The fitting is dimmable when paired with a compatible LED dimmer, allowing the light level to be adjusted for different tasks or times of day.

Yes. The integrated GX53 LED is dimmable when paired with a compatible LED dimmer switch. Not all LED dimmers support all LED bulbs, so check compatibility with the specific dimmer model before installation.

Can this be used in a bathroom?

The IP20 rating means the Fable is suitable only for dry indoor locations. It cannot be installed in bathroom zones 1-2 (within 60cm of a bath or shower). For use above a bathroom mirror outside the wet zones, IP20 is acceptable.
