Description

The Exility Track Straight Power Connector is a 138mm black plastic power feed for Maytoni's Exility track lighting system, delivering 48V DC current from a mains power source to the track rail. Four brass-plated contact points inside the housing connect to the corresponding conductors in the track, while the outer black casing locks into the track profile with a quarter-turn mechanism.

Designed for use at the start or middle of a track run, the connector bridges mains power to the low-voltage DC system that powers Exility track spotlights and pendants. Installation requires a separate 48V DC driver (sold separately) wired to the connector's input terminals, which then feeds power into the track. The straight profile allows the connector to sit flush within the track line without changing direction, making it suitable for single-run layouts in kitchens, galleries, retail displays and office task lighting.

The IP20 rating limits the connector to dry indoor environments only — it is not suitable for bathrooms, outdoor canopies or any location where moisture contact is possible. The plastic housing measures 18mm high and 16mm wide, sitting within the track profile without protruding below the rail. The black finish integrates with Maytoni's black Exility track components and provides a neutral backdrop for white, warm metallic or coloured spotlight heads.

What else is needed to power the track?

You need a separate 48V DC driver (transformer) wired between the mains supply and this connector. The driver converts 230V AC mains to 48V DC, which then feeds into the track via this connector. Drivers are sold separately and should be sized to match the total wattage of all spotlights on the track.

Can this connector be used mid-run or only at the start?

It can be placed at the start of a track run or inserted mid-run to add power to a longer layout. For runs exceeding 2-3 metres with multiple high-wattage spotlights, adding a second power feed mid-run helps maintain consistent voltage along the entire track.

Is it compatible with other track systems?

No. This connector is designed specifically for Maytoni's Exility 48V DC track system and will not fit standard 230V mains-voltage track or other manufacturers' low-voltage track profiles.

What does IP20 mean for installation location?

IP20 means the connector is protected against solid objects larger than 12.5mm but has no moisture protection. It must only be used in dry indoor environments — not bathrooms, kitchens near sinks, outdoor locations or any area where water contact is possible.
