The ESP HDview is an 8-channel 4MP CCTV system supplied complete with a digital video recorder, four IP66-rated bullet cameras, cabling, and a 1TB surveillance-grade hard drive pre-installed in the DVR. The system records at 4 megapixel resolution and supports remote monitoring via Android, iOS or Windows PC using the included CMS software.

Designed for residential and small commercial installations, the kit provides four weatherproof bullet cameras with infrared night vision for outdoor coverage up to 25m. The 8-channel DVR allows expansion to eight cameras total as site requirements grow, using additional cameras purchased separately. The DVR connects to monitors via HDMI or VGA and offers three recording modes: continuous, scheduled or motion-triggered. Recordings can be backed up to USB storage for evidence transfer or archive.

Each camera uses a 3.6mm fixed lens providing a wide field of view suited to monitoring driveways, garden perimeters, building entrances and car parks. The IP66 rating on the cameras protects against dust ingress and heavy rain, allowing installation on external walls and soffits. The DVR operates silently and uses a mouse-driven interface for playback, camera configuration and recording schedule setup. Remote monitoring works over wired network connections or powerline adapters without requiring port forwarding on most UK routers.

The 1TB surveillance hard drive provides approximately 10-14 days of continuous 4MP recording from four cameras before the system begins overwriting the oldest footage. The DVR supports larger capacity drives up to 8TB if extended recording retention is required, and the hard drive can be replaced without returning the unit.

Can I add more cameras to this system?

Yes. The DVR is an 8-channel unit, so it supports up to eight cameras total. The kit ships with four cameras, leaving four channels available for expansion. Additional ESP HDview 4MP bullet cameras can be purchased separately and connected to the unused channels.

What's the night vision range on the cameras?

The infrared LEDs on each bullet camera provide night vision up to approximately 25m in complete darkness. Actual range depends on ambient light conditions and the reflectivity of surfaces in the camera's field of view.
