Description

The ESP HDview is a 4MP CCTV kit consisting of a 4-channel digital video recorder (DVR) with a pre-installed 500GB surveillance-grade hard drive, four white IP66-rated bullet cameras with 3.6mm fixed lenses, camera cable, and a 12V power supply for the system. Each camera records at 4 megapixel resolution and features infrared LEDs for night vision up to 25 metres in total darkness.

Designed for residential and small commercial properties requiring full perimeter coverage, the kit supports continuous recording, motion-triggered recording, or scheduled recording modes. The DVR connects to a monitor via HDMI or VGA output and can be accessed remotely through the ESP HDview smartphone app or the included CMS software for PC-based monitoring. Remote access works over wired network connections or via a PowerLine adapter if cabling between router and DVR is impractical.

The four bullet cameras carry IP66 weatherproof ratings, making them suitable for outdoor installation under eaves, soffit-mounted positions, or wall-mounted facing driveways and entry points. The 3.6mm lens provides a wide field of view appropriate for monitoring garden perimeters, car parks and building facades from 3-8 metres distance. The DVR operates silently without active cooling fans and provides USB backup of recorded footage for evidence transfer to external storage.

The 500GB surveillance hard drive offers approximately 7-10 days of continuous 4MP recording across all four cameras before overwriting begins, with longer retention when using motion-triggered recording modes. The system is expandable by upgrading to 1TB, 2TB, 4TB or 8TB hard drive variants within the same HDview product family.

Each bullet camera features infrared LEDs providing night vision up to 25 metres in total darkness. The cameras automatically switch between day and night modes based on ambient light levels.

How long does 500GB record for?

Approximately 7-10 days of continuous 4MP recording across all four cameras before the system overwrites the oldest footage. Motion-triggered recording extends this retention period significantly by only recording when activity is detected.

Can I add more cameras later?

No. This is a 4-channel system supporting a maximum of four cameras. The kit comes complete with four cameras and cannot be expanded beyond this number. For larger installations, ESP offers 8-channel and 16-channel DVR systems.

Is remote viewing included?

Yes. The kit includes the ESP HDview smartphone app for iOS and Android, plus CMS software for PC-based remote monitoring. Both work over wired network connections or PowerLine adapters when the DVR cannot be directly cabled to your router.
