Description

The ESP Duceri is a non-maintained twin spot emergency light with two independently adjustable LED heads mounted on a polycarbonate control unit. Each head contains 15 SMD 2835 LEDs outputting a combined 535 lumens at 5500K during mains failure, powered by an internal LiFePO4 battery providing 3 hours of emergency illumination. The IP65-rated housing suits both indoor and outdoor installation where emergency egress lighting is required.

Designed for commercial, industrial and public buildings requiring BS EN 60598-2-22 and BS EN 62034 compliant emergency lighting, the Duceri mounts to walls or ceilings and directs light across escape routes, stairwells, exit doors and outdoor pathways. The non-maintained mode means the lights remain off during normal operation and activate only when mains power fails. The self-test function automatically cycles the battery and LEDs at programmed intervals, logging results via a green LED indicator on the control unit face, reducing manual test burden for building managers.

The polycarbonate housing measures 305 x 306 x 70mm and weighs 1.85kg when fitted with the battery. Both LED heads rotate and tilt on their mounting stalks, allowing coverage to be adjusted after installation to suit corridor widths, door positions or stairwell geometry. The LiFePO4 battery chemistry provides charge and discharge protection, extending service life compared to older NiCd or NiMH batteries. The white finish suits most commercial interiors and the IP65 seal permits installation in car parks, loading bays, covered outdoor walkways and other damp or dusty environments where standard emergency lighting would fail.

Frequently Asked

What does non-maintained mean?

Non-maintained emergency lights remain off during normal mains operation and illuminate only when mains power fails. This differs from maintained emergency lights, which operate continuously as normal lighting and stay on during power cuts. Non-maintained lights are typically used in commercial premises where separate normal lighting exists.

How does the self-test function work?

The control unit automatically tests the battery charge level and LED function at programmed intervals. Results are indicated by the green LED on the unit face. A steady green confirms the system is operational; other indicator patterns signal faults that require attention. This reduces the need for manual monthly testing required by older emergency lights.

Can the heads be adjusted after installation?

Yes. Both LED heads rotate and tilt on their mounting stalks, allowing the light direction to be adjusted to cover doorways, corridors or stairwells after the control unit is fixed to the wall or ceiling.

What is the IP65 rating?

IP65 means the unit is dust-tight and protected against water jets from any direction. This makes it suitable for installation in car parks, loading bays, covered outdoor areas and other locations where moisture or dust would damage non-sealed emergency lights.
