The ESP Digivew HD+ is an 8-channel 4MP CCTV kit comprising a DVR recorder with an 8TB surveillance-grade hard drive pre-installed, four white dome cameras rated IP66 for indoor and outdoor use, and a complete wiring and power supply package. Each camera captures 4-megapixel resolution day and night using infrared LEDs for zero-light visibility up to 25 metres, with a 3.6mm fixed lens giving approximately 80° horizontal field of view.

Designed as a complete home or small business security system in one box, the kit supports continuous, scheduled or motion-triggered recording modes with remote monitoring via Android or iOS app, plus PC software for multi-site management. The DVR offers HDMI and VGA outputs for connecting to a monitor, USB backup for transferring footage, and a mouse-driven interface that runs silently during operation. The 8-channel architecture allows expansion to eight cameras total if needed in future, using additional ESP 4MP dome or bullet cameras compatible with the same DVR.

The four dome cameras carry IP66 weatherproofing for mounting on exterior soffits, building corners or porch ceilings where they face exposure to rain and dust. The white housing suits lighter-coloured facades and render finishes. Cable runs use standard coaxial connections, with 25 metres of cable included per camera in the kit. The 8TB surveillance hard drive provides weeks of continuous recording at 4MP resolution depending on motion activity, or several months when motion-triggered recording is active.

The DVR supports remote access over a wired network connection or via a PowerLine adapter for locations without direct Ethernet access to the DVR. The CMS software allows viewing multiple sites from a single PC interface, suitable for landlords, property managers or businesses operating across several locations. The system power supply is centralised, feeding the DVR and all four cameras from a single 12V unit rather than requiring individual camera power adapters.

What's the difference between continuous and motion-triggered recording?

Continuous recording captures footage 24/7 regardless of activity, filling the hard drive faster but ensuring no gaps. Motion-triggered recording only saves footage when the cameras detect movement, extending storage duration significantly — an 8TB drive can hold several months of motion footage versus weeks of continuous recording at 4MP resolution.

Can the system be expanded to more cameras?

Yes. The DVR supports up to eight cameras total. You can add four more ESP 4MP dome or bullet cameras (sold separately) using the same coaxial connections and the existing system power supply, provided the power budget supports the additional draw.

What mobile app is used for remote monitoring?

ESP provides a dedicated app for Android and iOS that connects to the DVR over your network. The app allows live viewing, playback of recorded footage, and push notifications when motion is detected (if configured). Setup requires port forwarding on your router or use of ESP's cloud relay service.

Are the cameras weatherproof for outdoor mounting?
