Description
The ESP NH10WS is a 10W LED outdoor security floodlight with an integrated PIR motion sensor, delivering 800 lumens at 4000K through a textured polycarbonate diffuser in a white die-cast metal housing. The PIR sensor covers a 110° detection angle with an 8m range, triggering the light for a pre-set 150-second activation period when motion is detected after dusk.
Designed for residential driveways, side passages, rear gardens and commercial building perimeters, the floodlight mounts on an adjustable bracket that allows tilt and rotation to direct light onto doorways, pathways or specific zones requiring coverage. The IP65 rating protects against rain and dust ingress, making the fitting suitable for year-round outdoor installation in exposed positions. Auto lux control ensures the PIR only triggers in low-light conditions, preventing daylight false-activations.
The 1m integral power cord terminates at a connection block inside the rear housing, allowing connection to standard outdoor-rated mains cable fed through conduit or buried armoured supply. A manual override function allows the light to be switched to constant-on for temporary use as floodlighting without motion detection. The textured diffuser spreads the LED output across the 110mm x 99mm faceplate, reducing glare and creating a more even wash than bare LED chips. The complete fitting weighs 265g and ships with wall fixings.

Frequently Asked
What triggers the PIR sensor?
The PIR detects heat signatures from moving objects within a 110° arc up to 8m from the sensor face. When motion is detected after dusk, the light switches on for 150 seconds. The auto lux control prevents the PIR triggering during daylight hours.
Can the sensor timing be adjusted?
The 150-second activation period is factory pre-set on this model. For adjustable timing and sensitivity, see the wider ESP Nighthawk range available separately.
How is it wired?
The floodlight has a 1m integral power cord terminating at a connection block inside the rear housing. This connects to a standard 230V mains supply fed through outdoor-rated cable in conduit or armoured cable. Installation should be carried out by a qualified electrician in accordance with BS 7671 wiring regulations.
What does the manual override do?
The manual override function allows the light to be switched to constant-on, bypassing the PIR sensor. This is useful for temporary floodlighting during outdoor work or events where continuous light is needed without motion detection.
