Description

The Erich is a single globe pendant light built around a 15cm blown white glass sphere suspended from a nickel-finished metal canopy and holder. The white glass diffuses light from a single E14 bulb (sold separately, max 40W) to create even ambient glow without visible glare. The nickel finish on the metal components provides a cool-toned metallic accent that pairs with contemporary, mid-century and minimalist interiors.

Designed for kitchen islands, dining tables and hallway positions, the Erich offers a 33-153cm adjustable drop that can be set on installation to suit ceiling heights from 2.4m upwards. At minimum drop the pendant sits 33cm below the ceiling rose, making it suitable for lower ceilings where a longer drop would intrude into headroom. At maximum 153cm drop it works over breakfast bars or as a cluster installation where multiple pendants are hung at staggered heights.

The blown glass sphere is uniform in colour and thickness, giving consistent light output in all directions. The metal canopy and holder are finished in brushed nickel, which softens reflections compared to polished chrome and resists fingerprints better than polished finishes. The E14 small Edison screw base accepts standard candle or golf ball bulbs, with most users choosing LED bulbs between 4-6W and 2700-3000K for warm white task and ambient lighting.

The pendant uses an E14 small Edison screw bulb up to 40W. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with a 4-6W LED candle or golf ball bulb in 2700-3000K warm white for general ambient lighting.

Can the drop height be adjusted after installation?

The drop is set during installation by adjusting the cable length within the canopy. Once installed, changing the height requires removing the canopy and re-adjusting the cable, which is straightforward but requires isolating the power supply.

Is the Erich suitable for bathrooms?

No. The IP20 rating means the pendant is suitable for dry indoor locations only. It cannot be used in bathrooms, wetrooms or outdoor locations where it would be exposed to moisture or splashing water.

What ceiling height is needed?

At minimum drop of 33cm the pendant works in rooms with 2.4m ceilings. For dining table or kitchen island use at the maximum 153cm drop, ceiling heights of 2.8m or above are recommended to maintain comfortable headroom clearance.
