Description

The Empire-1 is a 200mm conical pendant light with a clear glass outer shade and a perforated black cylinder encased in a polished brass tube running down the centre. The outer glass cone is flat-edged rather than curved, giving the fitting an angular profile. The inner black cylinder is perforated with a pattern of small holes that allow light to escape in dotted rays while the polished brass tube catches and reflects that light.

Designed for kitchen islands, breakfast bars, dining tables and hallway positions where a single pendant provides task or accent lighting, the Empire-1 sits 200mm wide and suspends on a black braided cable of adjustable length. The G9 bulb fitting (bulb sold separately) accepts capsule halogen or LED bulbs up to 40W, and the fitting is compatible with standard dimmer switches when paired with a dimmable G9 bulb. The clear glass outer shade means the decorative detail of the perforated black cylinder remains visible when the light is off.

The combination of clear glass, black metal and polished brass gives the fitting a material depth that works in both warm-toned and cooler contemporary interiors.
