Description

The Emberlyte is a 400mm spherical glass pendant with a graduated smoked finish, suspended from a polished chrome canopy on a clear cable. The blown glass globe houses a single E27 bulb fitting positioned centrally inside the sphere, visible through the translucent smoke-toned glass. The chrome canopy sits flush to the ceiling and the cable length is adjustable on installation.

Designed for dining tables, kitchen islands and living room settings where both ambient and decorative light are needed, the Emberlyte works as a single pendant over smaller dining tables or in clusters of two or three over larger islands. The smoked glass filters the direct glare from the bulb while allowing light to radiate outward in all directions, creating a soft halo effect around the sphere. The 400mm diameter suits ceiling heights of 2.4m or higher, with the pendant typically positioned 700-800mm above a table surface.

The blown glass construction gives the globe a smooth, continuous surface with no seams or joins, and the graduated smoke tone darkens from the top of the sphere down to a deeper charcoal at the base. The polished chrome canopy and fittings provide a reflective accent that pairs with both warm and cool-toned interiors. The pendant is IP20 rated for dry indoor use and carries a 5-year warranty from Ideal Lux. The E27 fitting accepts LED, halogen or filament bulbs up to 60W (sold separately), and is dimmable when paired with compatible bulbs and dimmer switches.
