The Emberlyte is a 300mm single-bulb glass pendant with a spherical smoked grey glass globe and a polished chrome top canopy. The E27 bulb fitting inside the globe sits exposed, so the choice of bulb becomes part of the visible design — pair it with a decorative filament LED or a simple clear globe depending on the aesthetic required. The smoked glass diffuses the light output while maintaining transparency, softening glare without blocking the bulb from view.

Designed for kitchen islands, dining tables and hallway positions where a single focused light source suits the space. The 2150mm cable can be shortened on installation to achieve the correct drop height, typically 700-900mm above a worktop or dining surface. The IP20 rating restricts this pendant to dry indoor locations only. The polished chrome canopy fits standard UK ceiling roses and the cable runs through a narrow chrome tube before entering the glass globe.

The smoked grey tint in the glass reads darker when unlit and lighter when the bulb is on, shifting tone depending on the time of day. The 300mm diameter makes this a compact pendant suited to single positions rather than clusters, though multiple Emberlyte pendants can be run in a line above a longer island or bar. The pendant itself supports dimming, but the E27 bulb you install must also be dimmable. Pair it with a dimmable LED filament or globe bulb and a compatible dimmer switch to control brightness.

What bulb should I use?

The pendant takes any standard E27 bulb. Since the bulb sits exposed inside the glass, decorative filament LEDs (globe, squirrel cage, tubular shapes) work well visually. For a simpler look, use a clear or frosted E27 LED globe.

Can the cable length be adjusted?

Yes. The 2150mm cable can be shortened during installation to achieve the correct drop for the ceiling height and the surface below. Excess cable can be coiled inside the ceiling rose.

Is it suitable for bathrooms?

No. The IP20 rating restricts the Emberlyte to dry indoor locations only. It cannot be installed in bathrooms, outdoor covered areas, or any space with moisture exposure.
