Description

The Emberlyte is a 300mm glass pendant light with a spherical smoke-tinted glass shade suspended from a polished chrome canopy and cable. The glass globe surrounds a single E27 bulb fitting (bulb sold separately), with the smoke tint softening the direct glare from the bulb while allowing most of the light to pass through the shade.

Designed for kitchen islands, dining tables and breakfast bars where a single pendant provides localised light over a worktop or table surface, the Emberlyte suits ceiling heights of 2.4m or above with the 1100mm cable allowing the pendant to hang 600-800mm above the surface it's lighting. The IP20 rating restricts use to dry indoor rooms only. The pendant is dimmable when paired with a compatible dimmer and dimmable E27 bulb.

The chrome canopy and exposed cable give the fitting a light visual presence that works in both contemporary and mid-century-influenced interiors, while the smoke-tinted glass adds a grey-brown tone that pairs comfortably with cooler palettes and darker woods. The 300mm diameter gives the globe enough volume to act as a feature piece over a small dining table or kitchen island without overwhelming the space below.

Yes, the pendant itself is rated as dimmable. You will need to pair it with a dimmable E27 bulb and a compatible trailing-edge dimmer switch to control the brightness.

What bulb does it take?

The Emberlyte takes a standard E27 (Edison screw) bulb, sold separately. Most users pair this with a warm-white LED bulb between 6-10W and 2700K-3000K for dining or kitchen use.

Can it be used in a bathroom?

No. The IP20 rating means the pendant is not protected against moisture and must be used in dry indoor rooms only. It is not suitable for bathrooms, shower rooms or outdoor installation.

How is the cable length adjusted?

The 1100mm cable can be shortened during installation by looping the excess cable inside the ceiling rose or canopy. The pendant cannot be lengthened beyond the 1100mm supplied length.
