Description
The Dune UGR is a 535mm linear track light from Ideal Lux with an integrated 14W LED module running at 3000K colour temperature, housed in a white powder-coated aluminium body. The fitting mounts onto 3-phase track systems and provides a continuous linear light output along its 535mm length, designed to minimise glare through its low UGR (Unified Glare Rating) optical design.
Designed for retail, office, gallery and hospitality installations where multiple track lights run on shared power rails, the Dune UGR fits standard 3-phase track adaptors and can be positioned anywhere along the track run without additional wiring. The 32mm projection and 71mm height keep the fitting close to the ceiling, making it suitable for spaces with lower ceiling heights where pendant or larger track heads would intrude. The 3000K warm white output sits between neutral daylight and traditional tungsten, providing task lighting that does not shift colour perception on merchandise, artwork or food displays.
The white aluminium extrusion dissipates LED heat along the length of the fitting rather than concentrating it at a single point, extending the operational life of the module. The IP20 rating limits the fitting to dry indoor environments — it is not suitable for bathrooms, wet rooms or outdoor canopies. The non-dimmable driver runs on 230V mains through the track system, with no separate driver box required.

Frequently Asked
What is 3-phase track and is it compatible with standard track?
3-phase track systems run three separate electrical circuits through a single track rail, allowing different zones of lights to be switched independently. The Dune UGR requires a 3-phase track adaptor (typically included) and will not fit single-circuit 2-wire track without an adaptor change.
What does UGR mean and why does it matter?
UGR stands for Unified Glare Rating, a metric that measures how much direct glare a light fitting produces. Low UGR fittings like the Dune reduce eye strain and screen glare in offices, retail and gallery spaces where people work or browse under the lights for extended periods.
Is the LED replaceable?
The LED module is integrated into the fitting and is not user-replaceable. The module is rated for 30,000+ hours of operation (approximately 10 years at 8 hours daily use), after which the entire fitting would typically be replaced.
Can multiple Dune fittings be run on the same track?
Yes. Multiple Dune UGR fittings can be installed on the same 3-phase track rail, positioned and repositioned as needed. The total wattage of all fittings must stay within the track system's maximum load rating (check your track specification).
