Description

The Dune is a 1595mm linear track light with an integrated 40W LED array producing 4000K neutral white light, designed for installation on 3-phase track systems. The black aluminium rail houses a continuous row of recessed LED modules behind a louvred front that directs light downwards while minimising glare, making it suitable for retail, office and commercial environments where consistent ceiling-to-floor illumination is needed.

Designed for workspaces, galleries and retail spaces with ceiling heights between 2.7m and 4m, the 1595mm length provides uniform light distribution across counters, desks or product displays without creating harsh pools or shadows. The 3-phase track compatibility allows multiple Dune units to be installed on the same circuit and controlled in separate zones, so different areas can be switched or dimmed independently. The track mount rotates to allow light to be angled along corridors or towards feature walls rather than directly downwards.

The black powdercoat finish on the aluminium extrusion provides a neutral backdrop that recedes visually in most commercial interiors, letting the product or workspace remain the focus. At 42mm tall and 32mm wide, the rail is slim enough to suit lower ceilings without appearing heavy. The LED array is rated IP20 for dry indoor locations and carries a 5-year warranty from Ideal Lux. The fixture is non-dimmable as standard.

What is a 3-phase track system?

A 3-phase track has three separate electrical circuits running along the same rail. This allows multiple lights on the same track to be controlled independently—one circuit might light product displays, another might light walkways, and a third might be on a separate switch or timer. The Dune mounts onto standard 3-phase track and can be assigned to any of the three circuits during installation.

Is the Dune dimmable?

No. The integrated LED is not compatible with standard dimmers. If dimming is required, a DALI or 0-10V controllable version may be available—contact us to confirm stock.

What colour temperature is 4000K?

4000K is neutral white—cooler than domestic warm white (2700K-3000K) but warmer than daylight (5000K+). It provides clear, accurate colour rendering suited to offices, retail fitting rooms and commercial kitchens where task visibility matters.

Can the light direction be adjusted?

Yes. The entire rail rotates on its track mount, allowing light to be angled along a corridor or towards a wall rather than straight down. The louvred front is fixed and always directs light downwards relative to the rail orientation.
