Description
The Duceri 3W LED emergency exit box is a wall-mounted exit sign with integrated self-test circuitry, a left-pointing legend and a white steel housing. The sign runs on mains power during normal operation and switches to an internal 3.6V 1500mAh Ni-Cd battery backup when mains power fails, providing 3 hours of illuminated exit guidance at 5500K daylight white colour temperature.
Designed for commercial buildings, offices, retail premises, hotels and public spaces where Building Regulations Part B requires illuminated exit signage, the Duceri box can be operated in maintained mode (always lit) or non-maintained mode (lit only during power failure). The self-test function automatically checks the battery charge level and LED function at programmed intervals, logging faults via a green LED indicator on the front panel. This reduces manual testing frequency and simplifies compliance with BS EN 62034 emergency lighting maintenance requirements.
The left-pointing legend arrow directs occupants towards the nearest exit on the left-hand side of the sign, with a viewing distance of up to 25 metres in clear conditions. The white powder-coated steel housing measures 390 x 190 x 60mm and weighs 1.3kg once fitted, providing impact resistance suitable for wall mounting above doorways and corridor junctions. The SMD 2835 LED lamp delivers consistent output across the 3-hour discharge cycle, with charge and discharge protection circuitry preventing battery damage from overcharge or deep discharge.

Frequently Asked
What does the self-test function do?
The self-test circuitry automatically checks the battery charge level and LED function at programmed intervals. Faults are indicated via a green LED on the front panel, reducing the need for manual testing and simplifying compliance with BS EN 62034 emergency lighting maintenance standards.
Can it be used in maintained or non-maintained mode?
Yes. The Duceri box can be wired for maintained operation (always lit during normal mains power) or non-maintained operation (lit only when mains power fails). The mode is selected during installation based on Building Regulations requirements for the specific location.
What's the difference between left and right legend versions?
The legend arrow direction indicates which way occupants should exit. A left legend points towards exits on the left-hand side of the sign. Right legend versions point right. Select the direction that matches the physical exit route from the mounting location.
How is it mounted?
The white steel housing fixes to the wall via rear mounting points. The sign weighs 1.3kg and measures 390 x 190 x 60mm, typically mounted above doorways or at corridor junctions where exit direction needs to be clearly indicated. Wiring connects to mains supply via a terminal block inside the housing.
