Description
The Duceri 3W LED emergency exit box is a maintained emergency exit sign with a right-pointing arrow legend, built into a black steel housing measuring 390 x 190 x 60mm. The sign uses SMD 2835 LEDs running at 5500K daylight white, giving a 25-metre viewing distance in clear air. In maintained mode the sign illuminates continuously on mains power and switches to battery backup during a power failure, providing 3 hours of emergency illumination from a 3.6V 1500mAh Ni-Cd battery.
Designed for commercial, industrial and public building installations where clear exit route marking is required under UK Building Regulations and BS EN 60598-2-22 standards, the sign mounts to walls using the rear bracket concealed behind the steel housing. The green LED indicator on the front panel shows mains power status and charging state, allowing site managers to confirm operational readiness during routine inspections. The charge and discharge protection circuitry prevents battery degradation from overcharging or deep discharge cycles.
The black powder-coated steel housing gives impact resistance and corrosion protection suitable for indoor use in commercial corridors, stairwells, office exits and retail spaces. At 1.3kg the sign requires secure wall fixings into masonry or stud — the weight is primarily the steel housing and battery. The 5500K colour temperature provides high contrast between the white arrow and green background, maintaining legibility at the full 25-metre viewing distance even under smoky or low-light emergency conditions.

Frequently Asked
What is the difference between maintained and non-maintained emergency lighting?
Maintained emergency signs illuminate continuously on mains power and switch to battery backup during a power failure. Non-maintained signs only illuminate when mains power fails. Maintained mode is required in public areas, cinemas, theatres and venues where the exit route must be visible at all times.
How long does the battery last during a power cut?
The 3.6V 1500mAh Ni-Cd battery provides 3 hours of emergency illumination when mains power fails. This meets the minimum 3-hour duration required under BS EN 60598-2-22 for most UK commercial installations.
What does the green LED indicator show?
The green LED indicator on the front panel confirms mains power is connected and the battery is charging. If the indicator is off, check the mains supply and battery connections.
Can the arrow direction be changed?
No. The arrow legend is built into the light panel and cannot be reversed. Left-pointing and straight-down arrow variants are available separately — use the search function to find alternative directions in stock.
