Description
The Duceri is a 14W circular emergency bulkhead from ESP, rated IP65 for use in wet and dusty environments. It provides 1207 lumens at 5500K colour temperature during mains operation, with an integrated emergency battery pack that takes over automatically during power outages. The 84 SMD 2835 LEDs sit behind a white polycarbonate diffuser housed in a matching polycarbonate body, giving a clean circular profile of 330mm diameter.
Designed for corridors, stairwells, car parks, warehouses and external covered areas where emergency egress lighting is required, the bulkhead mounts to either wall or ceiling surfaces using four fixing points. The IP65 rating means it withstands water jets from any direction and is fully dust-tight, making it suitable for outdoor canopies, loading bays and industrial washdown areas. A green LED indicator on the front of the unit shows that the emergency battery is charging and functional.
The 110mm depth projection from wall or ceiling accounts for the battery pack and internal driver, and the 2.06kg overall weight requires fixing into solid masonry or structural ceiling panels rather than plasterboard alone. The polycarbonate construction offers impact resistance beyond standard acrylic or glass-fronted fittings. The emergency function can be configured as either maintained (unit lit continuously on mains power) or non-maintained (unit only illuminates during power cuts), depending on the application requirement.

Frequently Asked
What is the difference between maintained and non-maintained emergency mode?
Maintained mode means the bulkhead is lit continuously while mains power is available, then stays lit during power cuts using the emergency battery. Non-maintained mode means the bulkhead only illuminates when mains power fails. The mode is set during installation — see the manual for configuration instructions.
How long does the emergency battery last during a power cut?
Emergency duration depends on the battery capacity and emergency output mode. Typical emergency bulkheads in this class provide 3 hours of emergency light, but consult the specification sheet in the Downloads tab for the exact duration rating for this model.
Can it be used outdoors?
Yes. The IP65 rating makes it suitable for outdoor use under canopies, covered walkways, loading bays and entrance porches. It is not rated for full exposure to direct rainfall over extended periods (that would require IP66 or higher), but it handles splashing, water jets and dust ingress in typical covered outdoor installations.
What fixing method is needed for the 2.06kg weight?
The bulkhead requires fixing into solid masonry, blockwork or structural ceiling panels using the four fixing points. Use appropriate fixings rated for the substrate — plasterboard alone will not support the weight. The 110mm depth projection means it sits clear of most wall surfaces once mounted.
