Description

The Douille is a wall-mounted pendant light in aged brass with a ribbed glass shade suspended on a twisted fabric cord. An arched bracket extends from a circular backplate, and the E27 lampholder hangs on 1000mm of adjustable cord threaded through the bracket, allowing the drop to be shortened to suit wall heights and room proportions.

Designed for hallways, bedside installations, and reading positions where a wall-mounted pendant provides directed light without taking up floor space, the Douille pairs period detailing with functional cord management. The twisted cable runs through the brass bracket and can be looped or shortened during installation to raise or lower the shade relative to the wall. The 197mm projection from wall to shade and 100mm width suit alcoves, chimney breasts, and narrow hallways where a ceiling pendant would sit off-centre.

The aged brass finish is applied over heavy cast metal, giving the backplate, bracket and lampholder a substantial weight and a warm patina that develops further with handling and time. The ribbed glass shade diffuses the bulb filament while still showing the lamp shape through the vertical fluting, making the fitting compatible with decorative LED filament bulbs. The shade measures approximately 100mm diameter and sits around 324mm below the bracket when the cord is at its shortest adjustment, extending to 1224mm when fully dropped.
