Description

The Douille is a table lamp built from heavy-cast aged brass components with a ribbed glass shade and a single E27 bulb fitting. The lamp stands approximately 50cm tall on a stepped circular base, with a curved gooseneck arm suspending the glass shade from a threaded brass cap. The frame uses solid brass castings rather than stamped sheet metal, giving the lamp a weighted presence on the table and resistance to tipping.

Designed for desks, bedside tables and reading corners where directed task light is needed, the Douille pairs well with vintage-style LED filament bulbs that sit visibly inside the ribbed glass. The vertical ribbing in the glass diffuses the light source without fully concealing the bulb shape, allowing the warm glow of a filament-effect LED to read through the shade. The gooseneck arm holds the shade in a fixed downward angle, directing light onto the surface beneath.
