Description

The Dazzle is a compact table lamp built around a single opal glass sphere held within a square polished brass frame. The frame forms a continuous loop from base to back plate, creating a geometric outline that anchors the sphere at its centre. A single G9 halogen or LED bulb (sold separately) sits inside the sphere, diffusing light evenly through the frosted glass.

Designed for bedside tables, desks, console tables and open shelving, the Dazzle provides ambient light rather than directed task light. The 120mm footprint fits tight spaces such as narrow side tables and compact desks without dominating the surface. The polished brass finish reflects surrounding light when the lamp is off, adding a warm metallic accent to bookcases and mantelpieces used for display as well as function.

The opal glass sphere softens the light output and eliminates glare, making the Dazzle suitable for bedrooms, living rooms and home offices where diffused background light is needed. The brass frame includes black rubber feet to protect polished wood and laminate surfaces. The lamp carries an IP20 rating, limiting use to dry indoor environments only.

The Dazzle uses a G9 capsule bulb, sold separately. Most users pair this with a 3-5W LED G9 in warm white (2700K-3000K). Halogen G9 bulbs up to 40W are also compatible, though LED offers lower running costs and heat output.

Is it dimmable?

The lamp itself is not dimmable. If you need dimming capability, use a dimmable G9 LED bulb paired with a plug-in inline dimmer on the cable.

Can it be used in a bathroom?

No. The IP20 rating limits the Dazzle to dry indoor environments only. It is not suitable for bathrooms, kitchens near sinks, or any location where water splash is possible.

How is the brass maintained?

Polished brass develops a natural patina over time. To retain the high-shine finish, wipe the frame with a soft microfibre cloth and a specialist brass polish every few months. Avoid abrasive cleaners or rough cloths that can scratch the surface.
