Description

The Kichler Cora is a 610mm-wide 3 light bathroom wall light with three bell-shaped ribbed glass shades mounted on polished chrome arms and a rectangular chrome backplate. Each shade houses a G9 LED bulb (three 3W 3000K bulbs included), and the ribbed glass combined with an inner etch diffuses the light to reduce glare while maintaining brightness across a wide spread.

Designed for above-mirror installation in bathrooms, the Cora provides functional task lighting for grooming with an IP44 rating that protects against water splashes from any direction. The 610mm width suits vanity mirrors between 800-1200mm wide, with the three light positions distributed evenly to minimise shadows on the face. The 186mm projection from the wall positions the shades forward of typical mirror edges.

The polished chrome finish on the metal frame gives high reflectivity that amplifies the light output and pairs with chrome taps, towel rails and other bathroom fittings. The ribbed pattern on the glass shades runs vertically, creating texture when unlit and a soft radial glow when illuminated. The included 3W LED bulbs deliver warm white light at 3000K, which reduces the blue-heavy tone common in bathrooms lit by higher colour temperatures.

Frequently Asked

What does the IP44 rating mean for bathroom use?

IP44 means the fitting is protected against solid objects larger than 1mm and against water splashes from any direction. This makes it suitable for zones 2 and 3 in UK bathroom regulations — anywhere outside the immediate shower enclosure or above-bath area.

Are the bulbs replaceable?

Yes. The fitting uses standard G9 LED bulbs, which are widely available. The included 3W bulbs are replaceable with any G9 LED up to the 3W maximum rating. Kichler recommends staying at 3000K colour temperature to maintain the warm tone.

What mirror width does this suit?

The 610mm fixture width works best above mirrors between 800-1200mm wide, where the three light positions distribute evenly across the mirror surface without overhang or clustering in the centre.

Can it be installed upside-down with shades facing upwards?

The design is intended for downward-facing installation as shown. Inverting it would direct light onto the ceiling rather than onto the mirror and work surface, reducing functional task lighting and potentially causing the shades to trap moisture if water splashes upwards into the bells.
