Description
The Conf is a cylindrical outdoor wall light built from a graphite-finish aluminium frame with a tinted smoke-grey plastic diffuser tube running its full 28cm length. A single E27 bulb (sold separately) sits inside the cylinder, with the tinted diffuser reducing glare while allowing the filament pattern of decorative bulbs to show through. The fitting carries an IP54 rating, protecting against dust ingress and water splashes from any direction.
Designed for entrance porches, garage doorways and pathway lighting on exterior walls, the Conf mounts via a rectangular backplate on one side of the cylinder. The 10cm projection from the wall keeps the fitting clear of render, brick or cladding surfaces without extending too far into circulation areas. The graphite aluminium finish provides a neutral industrial aesthetic that pairs with brick, render, timber cladding and powder-coated metal fascias.
The cylindrical form directs light both up and down the wall, creating a vertical wash effect that highlights textured surfaces like brick coursing or vertical timber boards. The 28cm length suits standard door-height installations (fitted at 1.8-2m above ground level), and the tinted diffuser reduces direct glare when viewed from typical sightlines approaching the door. The E27 fitting accepts LED filament bulbs, halogen, or standard A-shape LED bulbs up to 15W.

Frequently Asked
What does IP54 mean for outdoor use?
IP54 means the fitting is protected against dust ingress (the '5') and water splashes from any direction (the '4'). It can withstand rain, but is not suitable for direct hose-down or submersion. The rating makes it appropriate for covered and exposed exterior walls.
What bulb should I use?
The fitting takes a standard E27 bulb up to 15W. Most users pair this with a 6-8W LED filament bulb in 2700K for warm ambient light, or a spiral/tubular filament style to complement the cylindrical form. The tinted diffuser works well with visible-filament decorative bulbs.
Does light shine up and down?
Yes. The cylindrical diffuser is open at both top and bottom, so light washes both up and down the wall surface. The vertical beam highlights textured wall finishes like brick or timber cladding.
How is it wired?
The rectangular backplate conceals the cable entry and terminal connections. Standard mains cable (1.5mm² twin and earth) feeds into the backplate from behind, typically chased into the wall or run in external conduit. Full wiring instructions are in the downloadable product manual.
