The Chawton is a large matt black picture light with a cylindrical metal housing mounted on adjustable knuckle joints that allow the light to be angled onto artwork hung below. The light bar sits parallel to the top edge of a frame and directs light downward and outward, illuminating the canvas or print surface without casting the fixture's own shadow.

Designed for wall-mounting above framed artwork, mirrors, or photograph arrangements, the Chawton suits both residential spaces (living rooms, hallways, home galleries) and commercial settings (galleries, hotels, offices). The knuckle joints between the wall plate and the light bar allow the fitting to be angled forward or back depending on the size and position of the frame below.
