Description

The Celestia is a 12 light LED cluster pendant built around a 600mm diameter round black metal ceiling plate from which twelve individual black metal tubes suspend at varying lengths. Each tube houses an integrated LED element that emits warm 3000K light downwards, creating a cascading waterfall effect when viewed from below. The combined 25W output across the twelve tubes provides ambient and task lighting for dining tables, kitchen islands and open-plan living zones.

Designed for ceiling heights of 2.7m or above, the Celestia's 800mm maximum drop can be adjusted during installation to suit different room proportions. The pendant works best centred over a rectangular dining table where the twelve tubes spread light across the full table length without creating harsh shadows, or positioned above a kitchen island where the cluster provides focused task light without needing multiple separate fittings. The IP20 rating restricts use to dry interior spaces only.

Each tube is approximately 10-12mm in diameter with a matt black powder-coated finish that absorbs rather than reflects ambient light during daylight hours, making the fitting appear as a simple geometric sculpture when switched off. The circular ceiling plate conceals the wiring and driver, fitting standard UK ceiling roses. The integrated LEDs are non-dimmable but the 3000K colour temperature delivers warm white light comparable to halogen without the heat output or energy consumption. The five-year warranty from Ideal Lux covers both the LED modules and the metal construction.

Can the Celestia be used with a dimmer switch?

No. The integrated LED driver is non-dimmable. Connecting the pendant to a dimmer circuit may cause flickering or damage to the driver. If dimming is required, consider an alternative fitting with compatible LED modules.

What ceiling height is needed?

The 800mm drop works in rooms with ceiling heights of 2.7m or above. For dining tables, the bottom of the longest tubes should sit approximately 700-800mm above the table surface to avoid glare at eye level when seated. Lower ceilings can accommodate the Celestia if the cable length is shortened during installation.
