Description

The BT9 eyelid accessory is a 260mm diameter polycarbonate bezel that clips onto Knightsbridge 9W outdoor LED bulkheads, adding a hooded profile to the fitting and directing light downward. The matt silver finish matches the standard BT9 bulkhead body and the polycarbonate construction carries the same weatherproof properties as the main fitting.

Designed for porches, rear entrances, garage exteriors and side passages where downward-focused light is needed rather than full radial spread, the eyelid reduces light spill upward and sideways. This makes it useful in applications where glare to neighbouring properties is a concern, or where the bulkhead is mounted above head height and direct view of the lens creates discomfort. The eyelid also provides additional shielding of the LED board from rain driven at an angle by wind.

Installation is push-fit — the eyelid clips onto the outer edge of the bulkhead's face without needing screws or additional fixings. The 69mm projection from the face of the bulkhead provides enough depth to direct light without obstructing airflow around the fitting, which is important for the bulkhead's thermal management. The matt silver finish is a low-sheen powder coat that resists fading under UV exposure and pairs with both the white and silver variants of the BT9 range.
