Bowery Outdoor 2 Light Wall Light - Black

The Bowery is a 19cm IP54-rated outdoor wall light with two GU10 fittings housed in a cylindrical black aluminium body. One bulb fires upward, the other downward, creating a dual-beam effect against walls, columns and entrance surrounds. The geometric chevron pattern on the sealed glass panels at top and bottom provides textured light projection and diffuses the bulb glare when viewed at eye level.

Designed for residential facades, garden walls, covered porches and commercial building exteriors, the Bowery suits locations where focused up/down lighting is needed rather than wide flood. The IP54 rating provides protection against dust and water splashes, making the fitting suitable for exposed positions under eaves, canopies and covered walkways where direct rain contact is minimal. The wall bracket extends 11cm from the mounting surface and requires a vertical run of approximately 25cm clear space above and below the fitting to avoid blocking the light paths.

The powder-coated black aluminium construction resists corrosion in coastal and urban environments, and the chevron glass panels are sealed to prevent moisture ingress into the lamp chambers. Each GU10 socket accepts bulbs up to 50W (sold separately), allowing the fitting to be paired with LED, halogen or CFL bulbs depending on colour temperature and brightness requirements. The compact 6.5cm diameter keeps the visual profile narrow on narrow columns and doorframes where wider fittings would overpower the architecture.

What IP rating does it carry? Can it be used in fully exposed outdoor locations?

The Bowery carries an IP54 rating, providing protection against dust and water splashes. It is suitable for covered outdoor positions such as under eaves, canopies, porches and covered walkways. It is not rated for fully exposed positions with direct prolonged rain contact (which would require IP65 or higher).

What bulbs does it take?

The fitting takes two GU10 bulbs, one in the upper chamber and one in the lower chamber, each rated up to 50W maximum. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with LED GU10 bulbs between 4-6W and 3000K-4000K for outdoor accent and security lighting.

How much clearance is needed above and below the fitting?

Approximately 25cm of clear vertical space above and below the fitting is needed to avoid blocking the upward and downward light paths. The fitting itself is 19cm tall, so total vertical space required is around 70cm from top light-throw to bottom light-throw.

Is the chevron glass pattern functional or decorative?

Both. The geometric chevron pattern diffuses the GU10 bulb glare when the fitting is viewed at eye level, reducing direct bulb visibility and creating textured light projection onto the wall surface. It also seals the lamp chambers against moisture ingress.
