Description
The Bonn is a 150cm tall bollard light built from a graphite-finished metal frame with a rectangular luminaire aperture set into the upper section. An integrated 20W LED module inside the frame casts 3000K warm white light downward and outward through the 200mm-wide aperture, providing path illumination without direct glare. The IP65 rating protects the internals against dust ingress and low-pressure water jets from any direction, making the bollard suitable for year-round outdoor installation.
Designed for driveways, garden paths, entrance routes and car park perimeters, the Bonn sits at a height that lights the ground plane without dazzle to pedestrians or drivers. The slimline 60mm depth allows the bollard to be installed close to walls, hedges or fencing where space is limited. The 150cm height places the light source above typical planting height (50-70cm shrubs) while remaining below eye-level for a 175cm adult, reducing light pollution to neighbouring properties and to the night sky.
The graphite powder-coated metal finish resists corrosion in coastal and high-humidity environments and pairs with contemporary hard landscaping materials such as resin-bound gravel, sandstone paving and porcelain tiles. The rectangular aperture design echoes modern architectural detailing found in bifold door frames, garage doors and window reveals. The integrated LED draws 20W on AC 220-240V mains and cannot be replaced — the entire fitting is replaced at end-of-life, typically 30,000-50,000 hours depending on usage pattern.

Frequently Asked
How is the Bonn installed?
The bollard requires a below-ground armoured cable run to the installation point and a concrete foundation base approximately 300-400mm deep to anchor the post. A qualified electrician should carry out the wiring and earthing. The installation manual in the Downloads section above provides specific foundation dimensions and cable entry details.
What does IP65 mean for outdoor use?
IP65 confirms the fitting is dust-tight (6) and protected against water jets from any direction (5). This makes the Bonn suitable for exposed positions including coastal locations, driveways regularly hosed down, and areas subject to heavy rain and wind-driven spray. It is not rated for submersion.
Can the LED be replaced?
No. The LED module is integrated into the fitting and cannot be accessed for replacement. The LED is rated for 30,000-50,000 hours of use, which equates to 10-17 years at 8 hours per night. At end-of-life the entire fitting is replaced.
What spacing is recommended between bollards?
For continuous path lighting with overlapping light pools, position bollards 3-4 metres apart. For marker lighting at turning points or steps, spacing can be increased to 5-8 metres. The 20W output and downward light distribution from 150cm height typically illuminates a ground area approximately 2-3 metres in diameter per bollard.
