Description

The Bold is a 20cm spherical outdoor wall light with an opal white glass globe mounted on a black aluminium bracket. The bracket projects 27cm from the wall, positioning the globe far enough forward to cast light both upward onto the wall surface and downward onto the ground below. The E27 fitting inside the globe accepts bulbs up to 60W (sold separately), and the opal glass diffuses the light evenly in all directions.

Designed for patios, porches, garden walls and pathway lighting, the Bold carries an IP54 rating that protects against dust ingress and water splashes from any direction. This makes it suitable for exposed locations including coastal areas, though it is not rated for full submersion or high-pressure water jets. The aluminium construction resists corrosion in outdoor conditions, and the black powder-coat finish maintains its tone through seasonal temperature variation and UV exposure.

The Bold can be mounted in exposed outdoor locations including under eaves, on patios and on garden walls. What bulb should I use?

The E27 fitting accepts any standard Edison screw bulb up to 60W. Most users pair this with a warm-white LED bulb between 6-10W and 2700K-3000K for outdoor ambient lighting. Filament-style LED bulbs work well behind the opal glass, which softens the visible element pattern.

Can the globe be replaced if damaged?

Yes. The opal glass globe is a separate component from the aluminium bracket and can be replaced if cracked or broken. Contact Maytoni or an authorised distributor for replacement globe parts specific to this model.
