Description
The Blink is a single-head adjustable wall spotlight with an antique brass finish, built around a stepped circular backplate and a pivoting conical head housing a single GU10 bulb fitting. The head rotates on a ball joint and can be angled to direct light onto artwork, shelving, reading positions or worktop surfaces.
Designed for task and accent lighting rather than ambient illumination, the Blink suits picture lighting in hallways and living rooms, bedside reading positions, kitchen worktop spotlighting, and gallery-style accent lighting in any room where directed light is needed without installing a ceiling track. The 160mm projection from the wall gives enough clearance to angle the head without the beam hitting the wall behind the fitting. The IP20 rating confirms indoor use only.
The antique brass finish shows visible brushed grain with a warmer, slightly darker tone than polished brass, making it compatible with both traditional brass hardware and contemporary mixed-metal interiors. The stepped circular backplate diameter is 100mm, giving the fitting a presence on the wall without dominating smaller rooms. The Blink is dimmable when paired with a compatible GU10 LED bulb and dimmer switch, allowing output to be adjusted from focused task light to low-level accent wash.
Ideal Lux manufactures the Blink in Italy and covers it with a five-year warranty. The GU10 bulb is sold separately, allowing you to choose the beam angle, colour temperature and wattage that suits your specific application.

Frequently Asked
Is the Blink dimmable?
The fitting itself is dimmable-compatible. Actual dimming depends on pairing a dimmable GU10 LED bulb with a compatible dimmer switch. Not all GU10 LEDs dim smoothly on all dimmers, so check bulb and dimmer compatibility before purchasing.
What bulb does it take?
The Blink takes a standard GU10 twist-and-lock bulb. Bulbs are sold separately. For task lighting, most users choose a 4-6W GU10 LED with a narrow beam angle of 36° or less. For accent lighting, a wider 60° beam may suit better.
Can the head be angled in all directions?
The head pivots on a ball joint, allowing it to be tilted and rotated to direct light where needed. The range of motion is limited by the wall behind the fitting, so expect approximately 180° of useful adjustment from the vertical plane.
Is it suitable for bathrooms?
No. The IP20 rating confirms indoor use only in dry areas. For bathroom use, you need a fitting rated IP44 or higher depending on zone placement.
