Description

The Bingham is a 50cm round upholstered stool with a tapered drum profile, covered in moss green polyester velvet. Two fabric handles sit on either side of the body, allowing the stool to be lifted and moved between rooms without straining grip or marking the fabric. A removable seat cushion sits on top of the main body, secured with a zip around the base.

Designed as a footstool for armchairs and sofas, the Bingham also functions as occasional seating in hallways, bedrooms and dressing areas where space is limited. The 40cm height suits most standard sofa seat heights when used as a footrest, and is low enough to tuck under console tables or beside beds when not in use. The 3.9kg weight gives stability when sat on while remaining light enough to move with one hand using the side handles.

The green velvet has a short pile with subtle tonal variation under natural light, softening to a warmer olive in low light and reading as a cooler moss tone under daylight. Contrast piping runs around the top edge of the main body and around the seat cushion, defining the separation between the two pieces. The velvet resists light marks from daily handling but will show pile direction changes if brushed against the nap.
