Description

The Beacon Assist Call 4 Zone Module is a central control panel for accessible washroom and changing room assistance systems, accepting connections from up to four individual assist call kits. The module mounts in a standard 2-gang back box (sold separately) and presents a brushed stainless steel faceplate with a large blue 'Accept' button, four zone indicator LEDs numbered 1-4, and an infrared receiver slot for remote reset.

Designed for compliance with BS8300 accessibility requirements in commercial washrooms, care facilities, leisure centres and public buildings, the module acts as the wall-mounted interface between pull-cord call points in individual cubicles or changing areas and the main alarm sounder or nurse call system. When a call is triggered from any connected zone, the corresponding LED illuminates and remains lit until the call is acknowledged by pressing the Accept button or using the infrared remote. The system can be flush-mounted for a clean finish or surface-mounted using an appropriate back box.

The module requires the BA4ZMPS power supply unit (sold separately) to function, which converts mains voltage to the low-voltage supply needed for the system. The brushed stainless steel faceplate measures 180mm x 110mm and provides a durable, hygienic surface suitable for frequent contact in high-traffic washroom environments. The module weighs 150g and projects approximately 30mm from the wall when installed.

Is BS8300 compliance confirmed?

Yes. The Beacon Assist Call system is designed to meet BS8300 requirements for accessible washroom alarm systems in commercial and public buildings.

What back box is needed for installation?

A standard 2-gang mounting box is required, either flush-mount for concealed installation or surface-mount where back-to-wall installation is not possible. The back box is not included with the module.
