Description

The Baton Rouge is a 762mm outdoor wall lantern with a walnut-finish cast aluminium frame, scrollwork backplate, and a four-sided gold-tinted glass enclosure housing four E14 candle bulbs. The lantern's vertical proportions, domed top with finial detail, and curved arm mounting give it a formal European appearance suited to Georgian, Victorian and period-style properties.

Designed for installation on external walls flanking front doors, garage entrances or covered porches, the Baton Rouge carries an IP44 rating for weather resistance against rain and splashing. The 457mm projection from the wall places the lantern body well forward of the mounting surface, casting light downward onto steps or pathways and forward across entryways. The scrollwork detail on the backplate and arm adds decorative interest when viewed from the side during daylight hours.

The gold lustre tint in the glass softens the output from the four E14 bulbs, reducing glare and adding warmth to the light colour compared to clear glass. The walnut finish is a dark bronze tone with golden undertones that highlight the relief detail in the cast metalwork. Each of the four glass panels is held within a metalwork frame decorated with vertical ribbing and scalloped borders, creating shadows and depth when the lantern is lit.
