Description

The Maytoni Basis is a 90° L-shaped linear track light with an integrated 24W LED and adjustable colour temperature from 3000K warm white to 6000K cool white, designed to mount onto Maytoni's Magnetic Exility track system. The aluminium body forms a right-angled profile measuring 321mm along each leg, with a 44mm body depth, and emits light from the internal edge of the L-shape to create linear illumination along two perpendicular planes.

Designed for retail, gallery and residential spaces where directional accent lighting is needed without traditional spotlights, the 90° profile allows light to be positioned in corners, along edges of shelving units, or to frame architectural features such as alcoves or recessed panels. The Bluetooth Mesh control enables wireless dimming and colour temperature adjustment from a smartphone without requiring additional wall-mounted dimmers. The DC 48V low-voltage operation means the fitting runs on a compatible Magnetic Exility driver (sold separately) rather than direct mains connection.

The black powder-coated aluminium finish provides a matt surface that sits flush against walls or ceiling planes when corner-mounted on the magnetic track. The IP20 rating restricts use to dry interior spaces. The adjustable colour temperature gives flexibility to shift from warm white task lighting in the morning to cooler white focused light for detailed work, or to match the output to other LED fixtures in the same room. The 3-year manufacturer warranty covers the integrated LED and control electronics.

What is the Magnetic Exility system?

Magnetic Exility is Maytoni's modular low-voltage track lighting system. Track sections are fixed to walls or ceilings, and compatible fittings like the Basis attach magnetically to the track for easy positioning and repositioning without tools. A separate driver (not included) powers the DC 48V track.

Can the colour temperature be changed?

Yes. The integrated LED offers adjustable colour temperature from 3000K warm white to 6000K cool white, controlled via the Bluetooth Mesh app on a smartphone. This allows you to shift the light tone to suit different tasks or times of day.

Is it dimmable?

Yes. Dimming is controlled wirelessly through the Bluetooth Mesh app, so no separate wall dimmer is required. The light intensity can be adjusted from full 24W output down to a low ambient level.

Can it be used in bathrooms?

No. The IP20 rating means the fitting is suitable for dry interior spaces only. It cannot be used in bathrooms, kitchens near sinks, or any environment where moisture or water contact is present.
