Description

The Maytoni Basis is a 604mm linear LED track light built for magnetic track systems, delivering 24W of 4000K neutral white light from an integrated LED strip housed in a black aluminium body. The fitting clips onto compatible magnetic track rails without visible fixings, allowing it to be repositioned along the track length to redirect light as room layouts change.

Designed for kitchens, home offices, retail spaces and galleries where task lighting or object illumination is needed, the linear form provides even light distribution across worktops, display shelves or wall-mounted art. The 4000K colour temperature sits between warm white and daylight, giving clear visibility for detailed work without the cooler tone of 5000K+ commercial lighting. The 604mm length suits standard kitchen island runs and gallery wall sections of 1.2-1.8m width.

The black aluminium extrusion measures 22mm wide by 44mm tall, creating a low-profile presence when viewed from below while housing the LED driver and diffuser internally. The matt black finish absorbs ceiling reflections and pairs cleanly with black track rails, dark cabinetry and industrial interiors. IP20 rating restricts use to dry indoor environments — kitchens and living areas are fine, but bathrooms require IP44+ rated alternatives.

The fitting operates on DC 48V supply from a compatible magnetic track system (the track itself steps down mains 230V to 48V DC). This voltage separation means the track can be touched safely during installation and reconfiguration without isolating the mains supply, though the driver still requires qualified installation to comply with Part P building regulations.
