Description

The Maytoni Basic Form is a 5 light cluster pendant combining five frosted opal glass globes suspended on individual gold-finished metal stems from a circular white ceiling plate. Each globe houses an E14 bulb (sold separately) and the frosted glass diffuses light in all directions, providing ambient illumination across dining areas, kitchen islands or entrance halls.

The pendant spans 58cm across at its widest point and the five cables are independently adjustable between 65cm and 180cm drop, allowing the cluster to be configured to suit ceiling heights from 2.4m up to 3.2m. The staggered drop arrangement creates visual depth and prevents the globes from clustering too tightly when viewed from below. The white ceiling plate measures approximately 30cm diameter and fits standard UK ceiling roses.

The gold stems are metal with a brushed gold finish that sits between polished brass and antique brass in tone, pairing well with both warm-toned woods and cooler greys. The frosted opal glass is mouth-blown into spherical form with slight tonal variation between individual globes, and the combination of white glass and gold metalwork suits modern, mid-century and transitional interiors. The IP20 rating restricts the pendant to dry indoor locations only.

Yes. Each of the five cables is independently adjustable between 65cm and 180cm during installation. Once the cables are set at the desired lengths and the pendant is installed, further adjustment requires partial disassembly at the ceiling plate.

What ceiling height is needed?

With a minimum drop of 65cm, the pendant suits rooms with ceiling heights of 2.4m or above when hung over a dining table or kitchen island. The maximum 180cm drop allows the pendant to be used in rooms with ceilings up to 3.2m while maintaining appropriate clearance above furniture.

Is it suitable for bathrooms?

No. The IP20 rating means the pendant is rated for dry indoor locations only and must not be installed in bathrooms, wet rooms or outdoor covered areas where moisture is present.
