The Basic Form is an 18cm globe pendant light with a frosted white glass sphere suspended from a polished gold metal canopy and stem. A single E14 bulb fitting sits inside the globe, casting diffused ambient light through the frosted glass in all directions. The metal frame, stem and canopy are finished in polished gold that reflects surrounding light without dominating the room's colour palette.

Designed for kitchens, dining tables, hallways and bedrooms where ambient rather than task lighting is needed, the pendant works as a solo fitting above a small dining table or breakfast bar, or in multiples above a kitchen island or along a corridor. The drop is adjustable between 40cm minimum and 180cm maximum, allowing the globe to be positioned 60-80cm above a worktop or 70-90cm above a dining table depending on ceiling height. The IP20 rating limits the fitting to dry indoor areas.

The 18cm globe diameter gives the pendant a substantial presence without overwhelming spaces under 12m². Is the drop adjustable on installation?

Yes. The cable can be shortened during installation to set the pendant anywhere between 40cm and 180cm drop from the ceiling rose. The minimum 40cm drop suits lower ceilings, while the maximum 180cm allows the pendant to hang lower in double-height spaces or above tables in rooms with high ceilings.

Can it be used in bathrooms?

No. The IP20 rating means this pendant is suitable for dry indoor areas only. It cannot be used in bathrooms, wet rooms or outdoor covered areas where moisture is present.

How is the frosted glass cleaned?

Wipe the glass globe with a soft, dry microfibre cloth when the bulb is switched off and cool. For fingerprints or marks, a barely-damp cloth is acceptable, but avoid soaking the metal fittings or getting water into the bulb holder.
