Description

The Basfor is a 60.5cm flush crystal ceiling light built around a tiered gold-plated metal frame holding 16 E14 bulb positions, each surrounded by rows of diamond-cut crystal prisms. The shallow 35cm drop from ceiling to lowest point makes this a flush-mount fitting designed for rooms with ceiling heights of 2.4m or lower, where a traditional chandelier would hang too low.

Designed for master bedrooms, dining rooms and entrance halls in period properties or contemporary homes with classical detailing, the Basfor provides both ambient and decorative light. The 16 bulb positions allow for significant light output when fitted with 40-60W E14 bulbs (sold separately), while the crystal prisms fragment and multiply the light into rainbow refractions across the ceiling and upper walls. The gold electroplated finish on the metal frame provides a warm metallic accent that pairs well with cream, ivory, taupe and warm grey wall colours.

Each crystal prism is machine-cut with a diamond facet pattern and strung on metal pins fixed to the frame. The tiered bowl structure places the majority of the crystal mass in a wide, shallow dome shape rather than a deep drop, giving the fitting visual presence without consuming vertical ceiling space. The IP20 rating limits this to dry indoor use only. The gold finish is electroplated onto the metal frame and can be cleaned with a dry or barely-damp microfibre cloth.

The Basfor takes 16 E14 (small Edison screw) bulbs up to 60W each. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with warm-white LED candle bulbs between 4-6W and 2700K-3000K to balance light output with running cost.

Yes. The 35cm drop from ceiling to lowest crystal point makes this a flush-mount fitting designed specifically for rooms with ceiling heights between 2.4m and 2.7m, where a traditional chandelier would hang too low or feel oppressive.

How is the crystal cleaned?

Switch off the mains power before cleaning. Remove dust with a dry microfibre cloth or a soft brush. For deeper cleaning, use a barely-damp cloth with distilled water on each crystal prism individually, then dry immediately. Do not spray cleaning products directly onto the fitting.

Can it be fitted to a sloped ceiling?

No. The Basfor is designed as a flush ceiling fitting for flat, level ceilings. The fixed 35cm height cannot be adjusted and the weight distribution assumes a horizontal mounting surface.
