Description

The Atom is a 92mm square recessed downlight in black powder-coated aluminium with a 25° tilt mechanism that allows the lamp head to be angled towards specific areas after installation. The fitting accepts a single GU10 bulb (sold separately) up to 50W, housed in a gimbal ring that rotates within the square bezel to direct light where needed.

Designed for general ambient lighting and accent highlighting in residential and commercial interiors, the Atom suits living rooms, hallways, kitchens, retail spaces and offices where adjustable directional light is needed without exposed track systems. The recessed design sits flush with the ceiling plane once installed, requiring a ceiling void depth of at least 25mm above the plasterboard line. The tilt mechanism allows light to be directed onto feature walls, artwork, worktops or circulation paths after the fitting is wired in.

The black powder-coated finish on the aluminium bezel provides a matt surface that minimises glare under daylight and integrates cleanly into dark ceilings or creates defined geometric contrast against white plaster. The IP20 rating limits the fitting to dry indoor environments — it is not suitable for bathrooms, wet rooms or outdoor locations. The 50W maximum load handles standard GU10 halogen or LED bulbs; most users pair this fitting with 4-7W LED GU10 bulbs in the 2700K-4000K range depending on the application.
