Description

The Artisan is a 300mm-long cylindrical pendant in matt black aluminium with a diamond-textured exterior finish, housing a single recessed GU10 fitting at the base. The cylinder measures 54mm in diameter and is suspended on an adjustable cable that allows drop heights between 330mm and 1330mm, making it adaptable to both standard and high ceilings.

Designed as directional downlight rather than ambient, the Artisan suits kitchen islands, breakfast bars, hallway runs and dining table positions where focused light is needed on a work surface or table below. The recessed lamp position sits approximately 20mm inside the base of the cylinder, reducing direct glare when the pendant is viewed from the side and creating a defined pool of light beneath. Multiple Artisan pendants can be grouped in runs of three or five over longer surfaces.

The diamond texture on the aluminium exterior catches light at different angles throughout the day, giving the cylinder a subtle faceted appearance rather than a plain finish. The matt black coating minimises reflections and pairs cleanly with industrial, mid-century and contemporary interiors. The pendant accepts any standard GU10 LED or halogen bulb up to 10W (sold separately), with most users pairing this with a warm-white LED at 2700K-3000K for task lighting over counters and tables.

The pendant takes a standard GU10 bulb up to 10W. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with a 6-8W warm-white LED at 2700K-3000K for task lighting over kitchen islands and dining tables.

Can the drop height be adjusted after installation?

Yes. The cable is adjustable between 330mm and 1330mm drop. The height is set during installation by adjusting the cable length within the ceiling canopy, but can be re-adjusted later if needed by accessing the canopy fitting.

Is the light dimmable?

Dimmer compatibility depends on the GU10 bulb you fit. If you use a dimmable GU10 LED and pair it with a compatible LED dimmer, the pendant will dim. Standard non-dimmable GU10 bulbs will not dim and may flicker or fail if wired to a dimmer circuit.

What does the diamond texture look like when lit?

The diamond texture is applied to the exterior aluminium surface. When the pendant is lit, the light comes from the recessed base of the cylinder and directs downward, so the texture itself is not backlit. Under room light or daylight the faceted surface catches reflections and gives the cylinder a textured appearance rather than a plain matt finish.
