Description
The Arionis is a 6-light LED cluster pendant from Ideal Lux, suspending six white acrylic spheres from a 400mm circular black ceiling canopy. Each sphere combines a white opalescent lower half with a chrome or copper-chrome metallic band across the equator, housing an integrated LED module. The six pendants hang at staggered heights on black cables, creating a cascading visual across a vertical drop of approximately 1200-1500mm.
Designed for dining tables, kitchen islands and double-height hallways, the Arionis delivers 58W of combined LED output at 3000K warm white. The acrylic spheres diffuse the light evenly, providing ambient illumination rather than focused task light. The staggered drop heights mean the cluster occupies vertical space gracefully without bunching at a single level, which suits spaces with ceiling heights of 2.7m or above. The IP20 rating limits the fitting to dry indoor environments.
Each sphere measures approximately 150mm in diameter, and the metallic bands appear in different finishes across the six lights — some polished chrome, some with a warmer copper-chrome tone, creating subtle tonal variation when the cluster is viewed together. The black ceiling canopy sits flush to the ceiling and conceals the electrical connections and cable anchor points. The integrated LEDs are non-replaceable and rated for 25,000+ hours of operation, equivalent to approximately 12 years at 5 hours per day.

Frequently Asked
Is the Arionis dimmable?
No. The integrated LED modules are non-dimmable and operate at full 58W output on standard 230V mains. Pairing the fitting with a dimmer switch will not dim the light and may cause flicker or damage.
What ceiling height is needed?
The staggered drop heights create a vertical cluster spanning approximately 1200-1500mm from canopy to lowest sphere. This works best in rooms with ceiling heights of 2.7m or above. For a dining table the lowest sphere typically sits 700-800mm above the surface, requiring a 2.5m minimum ceiling height.
Can the cable lengths be adjusted?
The cables are factory-set to create the staggered cascade effect shown. Some shortening is possible during installation by an electrician, but lengthening is not supported and the cables cannot be made equal-length without losing the design intent.
What happens when the LEDs fail?
The integrated LEDs are rated for 25,000+ hours. If a module fails within the 5-year Ideal Lux warranty period, the manufacturer will assess and replace the affected sphere assembly. LEDs are not user-replaceable.
