The Arion Small is a 280mm conical metal ceiling shade in matt black, designed to fit over a standard ceiling rose and provide both light direction and a defined visual anchor point in contemporary interiors. The shade is spun from a single sheet of metal into a wide cone profile with a tight apex and a broad 280mm base, which directs light downward while minimising glare when viewed from across a room.

Designed for dining tables, kitchen islands and low-ceilinged hallways where a large pendant would overwhelm the space, the Arion mounts directly onto a standard UK ceiling rose with the cable running through the apex and the lampholders sitting inside the cone. The 280mm diameter suits tables seating 2-4 people or kitchen islands up to 1.5m in length, and the shallow cone profile keeps the overall drop minimal, making it suitable for rooms with ceiling heights as low as 2.4m.

The matt black finish on the metal has a low-sheen surface that reduces reflections and fingerprints, and the interior is left unpainted steel, which reflects light back out through the base of the cone rather than absorbing it. The shade accepts standard E27 or B22 lampholder fittings (sold separately) and pairs with LED, halogen or filament bulbs up to 60W. Ideal Lux manufactures the Arion in Italy and backs it with a 5-year warranty.
