Description

The Arendal is an outdoor wall light built around a black powder-coated aluminium back box supporting a clear glass cube with a frosted glass insert. The light takes a single E27 bulb up to 60W (sold separately) and carries an IP65 rating, protecting the internal components from dust ingress and water jets from any direction. The frosted glass diffuses light in all directions rather than concentrating it downward, making the fitting suited to ambient porch lighting and soffit positions where wall-wash or general illumination is needed.

Designed for coastal and high-humidity environments, the powder-coated aluminium frame resists corrosion and salt spray damage better than untreated metal or painted steel. The 145mm projection from the wall places the light source forward of typical door canopies and porch overhangs, reducing shadows on the doorstep. The fitting mounts on a standard external back box with IP-rated cable entry glands, and the glass cube lifts off the base for bulb changes without removing the entire unit from the wall.

The black finish creates definition against both light-painted render and natural stone walls, and pairs well with black or dark grey window frames and door furniture. The 220mm height and 90mm width suit porches, side entrances, garage doors and garden walls where a compact fitting is needed without sacrificing light output. When paired with a warm-white LED filament bulb the frosted glass creates a soft ambient glow; when paired with a daylight-white LED the same fitting provides higher-contrast security lighting.
