Description

The Arcus recessed profile cover is a 1m white aluminium diffuser designed to house and protect LED strip lighting in recessed ceiling and wall installations. The cover clips onto a compatible aluminium track system, enclosing the LED strip behind a translucent white diffuser that spreads light evenly and reduces glare from individual LED points.

Designed for residential and commercial applications where clean, continuous linear lighting is needed without exposed fixtures, the Arcus suits kitchen pelmets, under-cabinet lighting, cove lighting in living rooms, and architectural features in retail and hospitality spaces. The 25mm projection from the recess keeps the profile shallow enough for tight ceiling voids and plasterboard recesses.

The aluminium construction acts as a heat sink, drawing heat away from the LED strip to maintain performance and extend the lifespan of the LEDs. The white finish on both the diffuser and the outer casing allows the profile to blend into white ceilings and walls, or to be over-painted if needed to match a specific interior colour. The 1m length can be joined end-to-end with other Arcus sections to create longer continuous runs.

The Arcus cover is designed to fit onto a compatible Arcus recessed aluminium track. The track accepts standard LED strip widths up to approximately 10mm. Check the track specification or contact us to confirm compatibility with your LED strip before ordering.

Can the cover be cut to a shorter length?

Yes. Aluminium profile covers can be cut to length using a fine-tooth saw or a mitre saw. Measure and mark before cutting, and de-burr the cut edge with fine sandpaper or a file.

Does the white diffuser reduce light output?

The translucent white diffuser does reduce total lumen output slightly compared to an open LED strip, but it spreads the light more evenly and eliminates visible LED hotspots. The trade-off is a softer, more uniform light distribution suitable for architectural and residential settings.

Can multiple covers be joined end-to-end?

Yes. Multiple 1m sections can be installed consecutively to create longer continuous runs. Use compatible joining clips or connectors to align the covers neatly at the joints.
