Description

The Arclight is a compact white cone pendant with an integrated LED and a 6m adjustable cable. The cone measures 90mm in diameter and 140mm in height, with the LED positioned at the top of the internal cavity to direct light downward through the wide-angle opening. The 3000K colour temperature provides warm white task light suitable for kitchen worktops, counters and desk surfaces.

Designed for task lighting rather than ambient illumination, the Arclight works over kitchen islands, breakfast bars, bathroom vanities and home office desks where focused downlight is needed without occupying headroom. The 6m cable allows the pendant to drop from high ceilings or be looped and shortened during installation to suit standard 2.4m ceiling heights. The cone shape concentrates light into a defined pool directly below the fitting.

The body is moulded from white thermoplastic with a smooth matt finish that diffuses reflected light and hides dust better than gloss finishes. At 90mm diameter the pendant is narrow enough to install in multiples at 300-400mm spacing along a kitchen island without the fittings visually crowding each other. The integrated LED is non-dimmable and rated IP20 for dry indoor use only.

No. The integrated LED is non-dimmable and operates at full output when switched on. If dimming is required, consider alternative Ideal Lux pendants with dimmable LED drivers or replaceable E27 bulb fittings.

What height should the pendant hang above a worktop?

For kitchen islands and countertops, position the bottom of the cone 700-900mm above the work surface. This provides adequate task light without the fitting entering the visual field when standing at the counter. The 6m cable can be looped and secured inside the ceiling rose during installation.

Can it be used in bathrooms?

The IP20 rating means the Arclight is not protected against moisture ingress and should only be installed in dry indoor areas. For bathrooms, choose a pendant with a minimum IP44 rating suitable for zones 2 and 3.

How many can be installed in a row?

Spacing depends on the worktop length and desired light coverage. For even task lighting along a kitchen island, install one Arclight per 600-800mm of counter length, positioned centrally over the worktop at 300-400mm intervals between fittings.
