Description

The Archer is a 400mm dome pendant light with a white glass shade and polished chrome canopy, suspended on a clear flex cable. The glass shade is formed from layered white glass with visible horizontal texture lines that create subtle light banding when the bulb is lit. The fitting takes a single E27 bulb (sold separately) and is dimmable when paired with a compatible dimmer and LED bulb.

Designed for kitchen islands, dining tables and hallway positions where a clean, diffused downlight is needed without harsh shadows, the Archer works individually over a small table or in rows of two or three over a 2-2.5m island. The 400mm diameter provides enough spread for ambient lighting in a 3-4m room without dominating the ceiling plane. The IP20 rating restricts it to dry indoor areas only — not suitable for bathrooms or outdoor use.

The white glass diffuses the bulb completely, turning the entire dome into a soft light source rather than a point source. The horizontal texture lines in the glass add depth when viewed from the side but disappear when looking directly up at the shade from below. Can multiple Archers be used together?

Yes. Two or three Archer pendants spaced 600-800mm apart work well over a kitchen island or dining table between 2-2.5m long. For even light distribution, centre each pendant over the middle third of the surface rather than clustering them.

Is the glass shade replaceable?

The glass shade is a separate component from the canopy and fitting. Contact us if the shade is damaged — replacement shades may be available directly from Ideal Lux or through Niori.
