Description
The Amas is a cylindrical outdoor wall light with a graphite-finished aluminium frame and a clear glass cylinder surrounding a single E27 bulb fitting. The light mounts horizontally from a circular backplate and projects 13.5cm from the wall, with the glass cylinder measuring 8cm in diameter and 21cm in height. The IP54 rating protects against dust ingress and water splashes from any direction, making it suitable for covered porches, patio walls and entrance areas where the fitting is sheltered from direct overhead rain.
Designed for residential entrances, porch lighting and patio walls, the Amas provides decorative accent lighting rather than high-output security lighting. The clear glass cylinder allows the bulb to be visible when lit, so pairing this fitting with a decorative filament LED or vintage-style bulb shows the bulb itself as part of the design. The graphite finish on the aluminium frame gives a dark neutral tone that works with brick, render, timber cladding and painted masonry across modern and traditional builds.
The E27 lampholder accepts any standard Edison screw bulb up to 60W, giving flexibility to choose colour temperature and brightness to suit the specific location. Most users pair this with a warm-white LED between 4W and 8W for ambient entrance lighting. The aluminium construction and powder-coated graphite finish resist corrosion in coastal and urban environments, though the fitting should be installed under an overhang or canopy rather than fully exposed to driving rain, as IP54 does not guarantee full weatherproofing against sustained downpours.

Frequently Asked
Does this fitting come with a bulb?
No. The Amas takes a standard E27 bulb up to 60W, sold separately. Most users choose a warm-white LED filament bulb between 4W and 8W for ambient porch or entrance lighting.
Is it suitable for fully exposed outdoor locations?
The IP54 rating protects against dust and water splashes, but the fitting should be installed under a porch canopy, eaves or covered entrance rather than fully exposed to driving rain. IP54 is not equivalent to full weatherproofing.
Can I use a dimmer with this?
Dimmer compatibility depends on the bulb you choose. If you fit a dimmable LED bulb and wire the fitting through a compatible dimmer switch, the light output can be controlled. The fitting itself does not include integrated dimming.
What's the projection from the wall?
The fitting projects 13.5cm from the wall surface when mounted. The circular backplate sits flush against the wall and the cylindrical glass extends outward from there.
