Description

The Alfa S is a 7W LED magnetic track downlight with a 53mm diameter white aluminium cylinder and a bronze-toned reflector. The fitting clips onto 48V DC magnetic track systems, allowing it to be repositioned along the track length without tools. The integrated 7W LED produces 3000K warm white light, suitable for accent lighting in retail displays, gallery walls, kitchen worktops and office desks.

Magnetic track systems work differently from traditional rail track: instead of mechanical clips or adapters, the downlight attaches via magnets embedded in the track, making installation and repositioning faster than screw-fixed track heads. The 48V DC supply runs through the track itself, so there are no trailing cables or visible wiring between the ceiling rose and the individual downlights. This allows multiple Alfa S heads to be added, removed or moved along a single track run as lighting needs change.

The white powder-coated aluminium body measures 96mm in height including the magnetic connector, with the 53mm diameter cylinder projecting below the track. The bronze reflector inside directs the LED output downward in a concentrated beam, making the Alfa S more suitable for task lighting and accent work than general room illumination. The IP20 rating limits use to dry indoor environments only. The fitting carries a 5-year manufacturer warranty from Maytoni.

What track system does this fit?

The Alfa S is designed for 48V DC magnetic track systems only. It will not fit standard mains-voltage rail track or other mechanical track systems. The magnetic connector clips directly onto compatible track without tools.

Can the downlight be moved after installation?

Yes. The magnetic attachment allows the Alfa S to be repositioned anywhere along the track length. Simply pull the fitting away from the track, slide it to the new position, and let the magnets reattach. Power must be switched off during repositioning.

Is the LED replaceable?

No. The 7W LED is integrated into the fitting and cannot be replaced. The LED is rated for approximately 25,000-30,000 hours of use, which equates to around 10-12 years at typical commercial lighting hours.

What beam angle does it produce?

The specification table does not list beam angle, but the bronze reflector design suggests a narrow to medium beam suited to accent and task lighting rather than wide-area general illumination. Contact us for exact beam angle data if critical to your application.
