Description

The Alfa is a 7W LED magnetic track downlight in matt black aluminium, designed to clip onto 48V DC magnetic track systems without tools or visible fixings. The integrated 7W LED provides 3000K warm white light output through a 53mm diameter cylindrical head that rotates and tilts on the magnetic mount, allowing the beam to be directed onto walls, shelves, artwork or worksurfaces.

Designed for retail, gallery, residential and hospitality spaces where track lighting needs to be reconfigured regularly, the magnetic mounting system allows the downlight to be moved along the track by hand and repositioned without wiring changes. The 48V DC supply runs through the track itself rather than individual cables to each fitting, so adding, removing or relocating lights on the track requires only lifting the magnetic base and clipping it back into position. The 193mm length from track adapter to light head gives clearance for the beam to be angled without obstruction.

The aluminium construction keeps the fitting lightweight at approximately 200g, allowing multiple units to be mounted on a single track run without overloading the magnetic connection. The matt black finish absorbs light rather than reflecting it, reducing glare from the fitting body itself and keeping attention on the lit surface rather than the source. The 7W output and 3000K colour temperature suit ambient lighting in living rooms, cafés and offices, as well as accent lighting for retail displays and gallery walls.

The IP20 rating limits the Alfa to dry indoor environments — it is not suitable for bathrooms, wet rooms or outdoor use. The 48V DC supply requirement means the track system must be paired with a compatible low-voltage driver, typically installed at the track start point or in a ceiling void.

The Alfa is designed for 48V DC magnetic track systems. It will not fit standard mains-voltage track lighting rails. Check that your existing track or the track you are purchasing operates on 48V DC with magnetic clip-on mounting before ordering.

Can the light be angled once fitted?

Yes. The cylindrical head rotates 360° and tilts on the magnetic mount, allowing the beam to be directed onto specific surfaces, walls or display areas. The adjustment is made by hand without tools.

How is the downlight moved along the track?

The magnetic base clips onto the track and can be lifted off by hand and repositioned anywhere along the track run. No wiring changes or electrical work are needed to relocate the fitting.

Is it dimmable?
